Jostens Renaissance Conference - Scottsdale, AZ

The theme for the 2017 Jostens Renaissance National Conference (JRNC) is For What We Stand. The JRNC is a one-of-a-kind experience that brings together action-oriented educators and students who stand for renewing the climate and culture in their schools. Conference attendees will leave prepared and motivated to implement tangible strategies to improve climate and culture, attend dynamic breakouts led by educators and students sharing real-life insights and proven ideas from the classroom, be inspired and educated by experts and thought leaders, and build a lasting network of educators and students across North America.
This year’s event promises to deliver everything you need to capture success stories, celebrate the moments that matter, and inspire students to academic greatness. Whether you belong to a long-time Renaissance school or you are just getting started, these sessions will give you strategies to strengthen your school.

McVeytown, Pennsylvania Elementary Training

This training will provide you with all the tools you need to implement the Medal of Honor Character Development Program in your elementary school classroom. Our flexible, cross-curricular resource is based on values embodied in the Medal of Honor. The lessons focus on how students can live lives of courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, citizenship and patriotism and influence change in their own communities. Attendees will examine lessons and discuss how to incorporate them into existing curriculum. Lunch will be served and a certificate of attendance will be awarded.
There is no cost for attendance; your school can be reimbursed for the cost of your substitute teacher. This training will focus on our new Elementary Curriculum and is open to K-6 teachers from all subject areas along with counselors, coaches, and administrators are invited to attend.

This full day training will provide you with all the tools you need to bring the Medal of Honor Character Development Program into your classroom. This flexible, cross-curricular resource, which uses the Oral Histories of Medal of Honor Recipients, focuses on how students can use these examples of courage, commitment, sacrifice, integrity, citizenship and patriotism to influence change in their own communities. Middle and High School teachers from all subject areas along with counselors, coaches, and administrators are invited to attend.
