The Medal of Honor Elementary Character Development Program is a foundational resource to introduce K-6 students to the values of courage, commitment, sacrifice, citizenship, integrity and patriotism. A companion piece to the Secondary Character Development Program, the elementary resource provides access points for younger students to understand the values at their level. The lessons use current curriculum and classic stories to encourage students to identify and exemplify these values. Students will find inspiration in the stories of Medal of Honor Recipients, citizen heroes, and community leaders, and by engaging with these stories, they will be challenged to show respect for others and make their schools and communities better places to learn and live.
